A New Era Begins...

After a long night at church, I went home to find my wife fast asleep. I had to take out the garbage for tomorrow morning's pick up which I always leave till the very last minute and check the mail. I wheel the garbage can out toward the curb only to find that there is no more space on the curb for our can. I end up having to walk halfway around the neighborhood to find a space to place my garbage. As I walk back to my house, I stop at the mailbox and get our mail. There is the usual Netflix DVDs, junk mail, bills and one large envelope.

I bring the mail inside and close the garage door. Upon closer inspection of the mail, I see that the large envelope is addressed to me and is from CrossesontheWeb.com. That's right! My replacement cross has arrived. I remember the email that was sent to me from Jan at CrossesontheWeb.com and how it seemed like it wasn't an automated form letter. It seemed as if it was actually written by a human being and it was signed "Thanksand God Bless." When I opened the envelope, my suspicions were confirmed. The reciept was signed by Jan saying thanks to me personally. A touch like that makes me want to shop from them again. I highly recommend using their online store if you are looking for Christian jewelry.

The cross looks exactly like my old one but it's quite a bit smaller. They offered larger ones but were out of stock at the time that I ordered. I'm satisfied with what I got but if they ever had the larger ones, I am sure I would order it.

So a new era begins. After over 15 years with my old cross, this new slightly smaller cross will have to carry on the tradition. I just have to make sure to get a new chain as well so as not to lose this one like I did with the other one. At least if I do, I know where to get a replacement pretty easily.

hey so I forgot to tell you, when Sarah and I were in ensenada the other week we saw the cross, about 2inch size, but the bars seemed a little thinner than I remember. Anyhow Sarah said "do you want to get it for him"...I said "no i think he already ordered one"..I think it was like $16 or soemthing.
Anyhow...I know a place in Mexico if you need another source
